The main goal of this thematic issue is to present a new area of nanoscience – superconductor/ferromagnetic hybrid nanostructures and their applications for quantum electronics and spintronics. There are also presented some other important functional nanostructures, such as sensors and single-atom transistors, to highlight the fascinating world of nanoelectronics.
